ASEAN Youth Friendship Network will hold two programs in October and November. Those two programs are
Ø  IVYFP (Indonesia – Viet Nam Youth Friendship Program) held in October 2011.
Ø  ILFriP (Inter-cultural Learning and Friendship Program) in Bangkok held in November 2011

The brief of IVYFP
INDONESIA – VIETNAM YOUTH FRIENDSHIP PROGRAM was successfully held twice in January and October 2010. This program will be held again in October 17 – 23, 2011. In this program, participants will get new friends, new experiences, and new knowledges. Participants also have chance to promote Indonesian culture and Bahasa Indonesia in Viet Nam.

Activities

1.     Promoting Indonesian tourism
2.    Promoting Indonesian culture
3.    Indonesian Food Festival
4.    Teaching Bahasa Indonesia to Vietnamese students
5.    Having study visit to University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH)
6.    Learning Vietnamese language and culture
7.    City Tour
Objectives
1.     To promote Bahasa Indonesia in Viet Nam
2.    To promote Indonesian culture and tourism
3.    To form International Friendship between Indonesian youth and Vietnamese youth
4.    To give a chance for the participants having new experience, friendship and knowledge by joining this program
Term of participation
Indonesian citizen, 17 – 25 years old, able to work independently and in team, healthy (physically and mentally), good communication, permission from parents, and able to pay program fee.

2.    Send back the application form after being completed and enclosed all supporting documents (photo, permission letter from parents, Letter of Acknowledgement IVYFP, certificates if any, etc) to ayfn.hq@gmail.com

Opening ceremony, meeting with Vietnamese Students, presenting Indonesian culture and tourism, and having dinner
Day 2 (Tuesday) October 18, 2011
Teaching Bahasa Indonesia in the morning, learning Vietnamese language and dance in the afternoon
Day 3 (Wednesday) October 19, 2011
Learning Vietnamese language in the morning, then dance class and Visiting The General Consulate of The Republic of Indonesia
Day 4 (Thursday) October 20, 2011
Teaching Bahasa Indonesia, learning Vietnamese language and dance in the afternoon
Day 5 (Friday) October 21, 2011
Indonesian food festival and art performance
Day 6 (Saturday) October 22, 2011
Promoting Indonesian cultures in Cha Gao Senior High School, Tour to Delta Mekong River or Chu Chi Tunnel, and Closing Ceremony
Day 7 (Sunday) October 23, 2011
Pack up and departure to Indonesia

Financial terms
Included: Orientation, selection process, accommodation (airfare/flight is excluded) and meal during program, airport pickup, City Tour, T-Shirt, activities during program (language and dance course, tour etc), certificate, member card of AYFN and 24/7 In Country support.
Excluded: Airfare/flight tickets to and from Ho Chi Minh City, passport fee, personal expenses beyond program, transfer to airport, souvenir

Inter-cultural Learning and Friendship Program (ILFriP) November 21 – 27, 2011, Bangkok, Thailand
The brief of ILFriP
ILFriP is weeklong program on cultural exchange and friendship between Indonesian youth and Thai youth. The previous program had been successfully held in February 2011. Therefore, AYFN will hold the next ILFriP in November 2011 to keep the relation between Indonesian youth and Thai youth.
The theme of the program is “we build bridge, not wall”, which has a meaning to create better understanding among young people without look at their nationality, race, color, and religion.  ILFriP, taking place on November 21 – 27, 2011 in Bangkok Thailand, will practice the student’s leadership skills and introduce them to international friendship that promote peace using the following inter-related activities.

Activities

1.     Learning Thai language and culture
2.    Practicing dancing
3.    Having seminar on sustainable tourism
4.    Holding art and culture exhibition (promoting Indonesian culture)
5.    Doing some friendship activities for understanding
6.    Having City tour

Goals:

1.     To provide challenging intercultural learning experiences for young people
2.    To promote their social and personal development through international friendship programs
3.    To promote intercultural understanding, equality of opportunity, tolerance and peace among people in the world

Detail and itinerary of ILFriP

Day 1 (Monday) November 21, 2011

Welcome to Thailand, introduction to the friendship program in Bangkok, safety issues, basic culture and history about Thailand, and indeed, Thai language introduction, dinner and getting to know each other (participants, local partner)
Day 2 (Tuesday) November 22, 2011
Thai language and culture class (learn basic letters and words of welcoming, greeting, short expressions, as well as learn about important and handy words which would help you while you interact with local people), discussion with Thai students and dance class.
Day 3 (Wednesday) November 23, 2011
“Seminar on Sustainable Tourism”, Thai language and culture class (learn more words and vocabulary to help you in daily use), Bangkok city sightseeing accompanied by local friends (Participants will get a chance to explore by yourself around Bangkok in the afternoon and evening. Visit local markets, internet cafes, coffee shops and practice Thai language).
Day 4  (Thursday) November 24, 2011
Thai language class (learn more words and vocabulary to help participants in daily use during in Thailand), dance class, visit foreign embassy, discussion and sharing experiences with Thai students.
Day 5 (Friday) November 25, 2011
Thai language and culture class (learn more words and vocabulary to help participants in daily use during in Thailand) in the morning, art and culture exhibition in the afternoon till evening (in this event we will promote Indonesian Culture). Friendship night, closing ceremony of program
Day 6 (Saturday) November 26, 2011
One day cultural tour in Bangkok (Chaopraya boat and Wat Arun, Wat Pho, Grand Palace, Marble Temple etc.),
Day 7 (Sunday) November 27, 2011
Preparing go back to Indonesia.
