Program Description
Japan Experience Program by AYFN is a cultural learning program designed to give an understanding on culture and social awareness for participants. This Japan program was started since 2015. This program enables participants to learn about Japanese culture in line with making a friend directly. This program is also an avenue to enhance knowledge and skill to face globalization. This is not student exchange, but youth and cultural exchange exposure program.

Activities
- Cultural activities in Tokyo (matcha experience, calligraphy making, &origami making)
- Visit many interesting places such as Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa-jinja Shrine, Myojin Kanda Shrine, Meiji Temple, Ueno Park, Shibuya, etc.
- Taste authentic Japanese cuisine (sushi, udon, ramen, tempura, unagi, etc)
- Walk around the bustling city of Tokyo.
How does the Japan Experience Program will work?
- Participants will be met up in Tokyo Japan.
- The program will combine sense of friendship, adventure and cultural awareness
- Participants will live for 6 days in Tokyo, Japan
- The program invites participants who passionate in international friendship and adapt new environment (culture differences) easily
Location of the program
This program will take place in Tokyo. Participants will have the unique opportunity to experience the historic capital of Japan, replete with its temples, shrines and traditional gardens. It is our hope that the program will inspire youth to pursue adventurous and productive careers and contribute to the advancement of science.
Accommodation and Meals
During this program participants will be accommodated in hotel with high quality standard. Living conditions in the hotel is very good and very clean (3-star hotel and good location). Males and females are accommodated in separate room. To enrich about Japanese Culture (daily life of Japanese), all participants will take public transports (Both Train and Bus) to go around the city during the program.
Japan is renowned for its tasty and healthy food. Who don’t know Sushi, Ramen, Udon, etc? Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the program. But, for dinner, you should buy by yourselves. There are numerous amazing restaurants throughout Tokyo which you will be directed to by program staff if you wish to eat out occasionally.
Itinerary
Pre departure activity: 1 week Japanese Language Class (Online Class)
The program will be started on 21 April 2024 (Arrival in Tokyo) and will be ended on 26 April 2024. Participants will start their program at 7.30 a.m – 5.00 p.m every day (day 2 – day 4). In the evening, participants will have free time to explore the magnificent of Tokyo or go shopping.

Requirements:
- Must be 16 – 40 Years old.
- All nationalities are welcomed.
- Commit to join full program.
- Able to adapt new environment easily.
- Have good writing skills.
- Have good in public speaking skills.
- Ready and able to write and post your activities involvement during join the program in your social media.
- Have good leadership skill.
- Able to communicate in English.
- Health physically and mentally.
- Ready and able to pay the selection fee.

We are also inviting to partake in Spring Japan Experience Program 2024 as a self-funded participants (no selection). (15 slots remaining). One of the AYFN’s strength is to provide high quality placement program, but still affordable.
