Program Overview

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in Bali? You’ll dive into Bali’s rich culture, from participating in rituals at the sacred Tirta Empul Temple to learning the art of coffee-making at a local plantation. Ubud’s artistic vibe will captivate you, and you’ll visit some of Bali’s most beautiful spots, including Tegenungan Waterfall, the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, and Kintamani, where you’ll be treated to amazing views of Mount Batur. Plus, you’ll explore iconic temples like Ulun Danu Beratan on Lake Beratan and Tanah Lot, perched dramatically on a seaside rock.

But the experience doesn’t stop there. You’ll hike to the breathtaking Kelingking Beach, where dramatic cliffs meet the turquoise sea, offering views straight out of a postcard. Afterward, explore the stunning Atuh Beach and visit the enchanting Diamond Beach, where powdery white sands meet the crystal-clear waters of the Bali Sea. Take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, feel the soft sand beneath your feet, and let the gentle rhythm of the waves soothe your senses.

Program fee

Program Fee covers the cost of hosting you on an AYFN program and gives back to participants as facilities during the program. Program Fees vary according to your chosen.

What’s excluded

• International flights to and from Bali are not included in the package.
• Any visa fees required for entry into Indonesia are not included.
• Personal expenses such as internet, souvenirs, additional snacks, and drinks outside of the included meals are not covered.
• Optional activities not mentioned in the itinerary, such as water sports or spa treatments, are not included.
• Travel insurance is highly recommended but not included in the package.
• Gratuities for your driver/guide are not mandatory but are appreciated for good service.

Important thing to note:

• AYFN program in Bali – Indonesia attracts a Registration Fee of IDR 315.000 (Approx US$20) in addition to the Program Fee. This covers all pre-departure support services. 
• A 5% international banking fee is added at point of payment.
• Discount of USD 50 for member of AYFN and alumni (International)
• Discount of IDR 500.000 for member of AYFN and alumni (Indonesian).

Participation procedure

Scholarship

• Invite your friends to join. We offer commision in the amount of USD 50 (International) or Rp 500.000 (for Indonesian) for every paid bookings we receive from your referal.
• For a school or a group, we offer 1 full scholarship on the program fee for every 8 paid bookings we receive from your group or institution.
• For a school or a group, we grant a 60% scholarship on the program fee for every 5 paid bookings we receive from your group or institution. (you may nominate the 6^th applicant to get this grant)

Program Itinerary

D-1: Arrival in Bali Airport

Welcome to Bali! As soon as you land at Ngurah Rai International Airport, your adventure begins. You’ll be greeted by our friendly staff who will escort you to your hotel. Relax and take in the beautiful scenery as you make your way to your hotel in Kuta, where you’ll be staying tonight.

Once you arrive at the hotel, it’s time to unwind and shake off the travel fatigue. Settle into your room, freshen up, and maybe grab a bite to eat at the hotel’s restaurant. If you’re feeling up for it, you can also take a walk around the neighborhood and get a first taste of Bali’s vibrant local life.

As the day comes to an end, get a good night’s rest—you’ll need it! Tomorrow, the real adventure begins as you head out to Kintamani and Ubud for a day full of stunning landscapes and unforgettable experiences. This is just the start of your Bali 6-day journey, and there’s so much more to come.

D-2: Kintamani, Waterfall, and Ubud

Start your second day of the Bali Program with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, featuring a mix of Balinese specialties and international favorites. Fresh tropical fruits, aromatic coffee, and soothing herbal teas will energize you for the adventures ahead.

Your first stop is the breathtaking Tegenungan Waterfall, where the cascading water creates a mesmerizing display. You can capture the beauty of this natural wonder with your camera or take a refreshing dip in the cool, inviting pool at its base.

Next, you’ll visit the sacred Tirta Empul Temple, a place steeped in Balinese spirituality. Here, you can observe locals engaging in traditional purification rituals, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even participate in the ceremony yourself. As you explore the temple’s intricate stone carvings and serene courtyards, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Bali’s rich cultural heritage.

Coffee lovers are in for a treat with a visit to a local coffee plantation. You’ll learn about the fascinating process of coffee production, from bean to cup, and enjoy a tasting session that includes Bali’s famous Luwak coffee.

Lunchtime brings you to Kintamani, where you’ll enjoy a delicious Balinese meal while gazing at the majestic Mount Batur and the serene Lake Batur. As you dine, your knowledgeable guides will share captivating stories about the area’s volcanic history and local folklore.

After lunch, you’ll head to the iconic Tegalalang Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you can marvel at the intricate subak irrigation system, a testament to the ingenuity and sustainable practices of Balinese farmers. Stroll along scenic paths and take in the beauty of the lush, green landscape.

Your day ends at the majestic Ubud Palace, the cultural heart of Ubud. Here, you can admire the intricate stone carvings, traditional split gates, and elegant pavilions nestled within lush gardens. This architectural masterpiece is a powerful symbol of Bali’s rich history and enduring traditions.

D-3. Bali UNESCO Heritage Sites Exploration

Today, your Bali Program takes you deep into the island’s spiritual heart and stunning natural wonders. Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel, preparing yourself for a journey filled with magnificent temples, lush landscapes, and breathtaking vistas.

Your first stop is the majestic Taman Ayun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site that beautifully reflects Bali’s rich cultural heritage. As you wander through its peaceful gardens, you’ll be captivated by the intricate details of its traditional architecture and the serene spiritual energy that fills this sacred space.

Next, we’ll head to the tranquil shores of Lake Bratan, where the iconic Ulun Danu Bratan Temple awaits. This enchanting water temple, appearing to float on the lake’s surface, offers a unique window into Bali’s spiritual landscape. Capture the temple’s serene reflection in the still waters, creating a truly magical photo opportunity.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple, a dramatic sea temple perched on a rocky outcrop. Witness the sun setting over the ocean, casting a golden glow on this iconic landmark. The ethereal beauty and peaceful atmosphere of this site will leave a lasting impression.

D-4: East Nusa Penida Exploration

Start your day with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, energizing yourself for another exciting day in your Bali Program. Today, you’ll embark on a captivating journey to explore the eastern side of Nusa Penida, a region renowned for its dramatic cliffs and pristine beaches.

Your adventure begins at the famous Kelingking Cliff, often referred to as T-Rex Bay because of its unique cliff formation that resembles the shape of a dinosaur. Be prepared to be amazed by the breathtaking views of turquoise waters crashing against the white sandy beach below—a scene that’s sure to be a highlight on your social media feed.

Next, you’ll visit the enchanting Diamond Beach, where powdery white sands meet the crystal-clear waters of the Bali Sea. Take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, feel the soft sand beneath your feet, and let the gentle rhythm of the waves soothe your senses.

Your journey continues to the unspoiled beauty of Atuh Beach, a hidden gem on the eastern coast of Nusa Penida. Framed by majestic limestone cliffs, this secluded beach offers a dramatic backdrop to its golden sands and sparkling blue waters, creating a picture-perfect setting.

Ascend to the Thousand Islands Viewpoint for a panoramic view of the ocean, dotted with rugged islets that stretch out into the horizon. The expansive seascape provides a stunning spectacle that showcases nature’s artistry at its finest.

In the afternoon, visit the iconic Tree House, also known as Rumah Pohon Molenteng. Perched high above the ground, this unique spot offers a breathtaking vantage point to take in the surrounding landscape, providing the perfect conclusion to your exploration of Nusa Penida’s natural beauty.

As the day draws to a close, you’ll board a scenic boat back to Bali, reflecting on the incredible sights and experiences you’ve enjoyed during your Bali Program. Once back on Bali’s shores, we’ll arrange a comfortable transfer to your hotel in the vibrant Kuta area, where you can relax and unwind amidst the stylish boutiques, trendy restaurants, and lively beach scene.

D-5. Discovering Balinese Culture and Southern region

Spend your 5th day at a relaxed pace, discovering the best of Bali’s island’s southern region. Start your day with a visit to Melasti Beach, a beautiful and secluded beach located in southern part of Bali. Take a dip in the ocean or simply relax on the sand. a popular spot for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing.

Next, head to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK), a cultural park located in Jimbaran. Admire the main attraction of the park, a massive statue of the Hindu god Vishnu riding his mount Garuda, which stands at 121 meters tall and is one of the largest statues in the world. Then, watch a traditional Balinese dance performance, which involves a large group of artists performing a dance and chant while dressed in traditional Balinese costumes.

D-6. Leisure and Departure

Spend your final morning in Kuta at a relaxed pace, enjoying a leisurely breakfast as you reflect on the incredible journey you’ve had in Bali. You might choose to explore the vibrant streets filled with chic boutiques and cafes, indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment, or simply unwind by the beach, soaking in the last moments of your tropical getaway.

Know Before You Go

To ensure your Bali adventure is smooth and enjoyable, here are some essential things to know:

1. Visa: Most nationalities can obtain a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for 30 days, which can be extended once for another 30 days. Check the latest visa requirements before you travel to ensure a smooth entry into Bali.
2. Weather: Bali enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. The dry season (April-October) is generally the best time to visit, while the wet season (November-March) can bring occasional showers.
3. Currency: The official currency in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Credit cards are widely accepted in major establishments, but it’s a good idea to have some cash for smaller vendors and tipping.
4. Electricity: Bali uses 230V/50Hz electrical outlets, with two-pin round or flat plugs. Be sure to bring a universal adapter if your devices have different plugs.
5. Health & Safety: It’s recommended to consult your doctor or travel clinic for any necessary vaccinations or medications before traveling. Drink bottled water, use insect repellent, and be cautious of stray animals.
6. Transportation: Our program includes comfortable transportation in a private air-conditioned vehicle with an experienced driver. If you plan to explore on your own, consider renting a scooter or using ride-sharing apps.
7. What to Pack: Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and comfortable walking shoes. Remember to pack a sarong or scarf for temple visits.
