Type of Scholarship, Coverage, and Application Fee
We offer two types of scholarship: Gold (1 awardee) and Silver (1 awardee). Each type has different benefit. Please read carefully.
Gold
AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grant.
- Flight expense support (Valued at Rp 7.500.000)
- Porgram fee waiver. It will cover accommodation 6D5N (Double shared), Meals (4 Breakfast and 4 Lunch), All activities indicated on schedule, All tour indicated on schedule, Local transports (Train and Bus), E-Certificate of participation from AYFN, Program supervision, In-country administration costs and souvenir from AYFN.
Silver
AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grant.
- Flight expense support (Valued at Rp 2.500.000)
- Porgram fee waiver. It will cover accommodation 6D5N (Double shared), Meals (4 Breakfast and 4 Lunch), All activities indicated on schedule, All tour indicated on schedule, Local transports (Train and Bus), E-Certificate of participation from AYFN, Program supervision, In-country administration costs and souvenir from AYFN.
The scholarship will NOT cover: Visa processing fee, Additional flight expense, Personal expenses (travel insurance, internet, laundry, additional meals, and not mentioned in the scholarship coverage).
If you are not offered a scholarship, we may offer you a Partial Program Fee Waiver (10%, 20, and 30%).

Registration Process
In order to apply for the scholarship, please APPLY as instructed.
Eligibility of applicant
You are required to meet these crieterias to apply for the scholarship.
- Must be Indonesian Citizen
- Must be between 16 – 40 years old
- Have an interest in writing
- Have an interest in Travel and Culture
- Involvement in social and youth activities
- Demonstrate leadership potential
- Able to travel to Japan during the program
- Physical and mental healthy
- Ready to document all activities (both writing and photograph)
Required documents
Please prepare all required documents before submitting your application.
- Curriculum Vittae (Resume) – Europass standard.
- 250 words Motivation letter on “Why do I need this scholarship?”
- 250 words Essay on “Why I deserve this scholarship?”
- Letter of recommendation from the one who knows you well (can be from a teacher/lecturer/organization leader/manager, etc)
- All documents can be in Bahasa Indonesia or English.
Additional documents
These documents will make your application stands out.
- Certificates of Acheivement (Championship, Olympiad, Business Competition, etc).
- English Proficiency Certificate (Toefl ITP, IBT, IELTS or Duolingo).
- All documents can be in Bahasa Indonesa or English version.

- This scholarship is supported by AYFN
- Applicant can apply for one type of scholarship only (Gold or Silver).
- The judges’ decision is final.
