1. Application & Selection Process
Q: How many slots are usually available for the scholarship programs?
A: To ensure a high-quality, immersive, and selective experience, we normally award up to 5 slots per scholarship category (Gold and Silver) for each program cycle.
Q: Can I apply for two different programs at the same time?
A: Yes, you are welcome to apply for more than one program. However, since each program has its own separate selection and administration process, you have to purchase the specific required E-book for each individual program to complete your applications.
Q: What are the exact E-book titles required for each program application?
A: To ensure your application is valid, please make sure you purchase the correct E-book matching your chosen program:
- Autumn Korean Culture Camp 2026: “MAEUM – From Kicks to Culture: A 5-Day Journey into the Soul of South Korea”
- Autumn Japan Culture Camp 2026: “Empower Horizons: Unlocking Global Youth Potential Through Travel and Education”
- Indonesian Youth Mobility Program (IYMP) 2026: “Dibalik Predikat Best Graduate”
Q: Can international applicants apply for the Indonesian Youth Mobility Program (IYMP)?
A: No. The Indonesian Youth Mobility Program (IYMP) is exclusively open and restricted to applicants from Indonesia only.
Q: I cannot find my country (e.g., Morocco) listed on the online application form. Am I still eligible?
A: Yes! Applicants from all countries worldwide are absolutely eligible to apply. If your country is missing from the dropdown menu due to a technical update, please check our website for the most updated form, or select “Other” / a nearby country and notify us.
Q: I submitted my application. How can I confirm it was received, and where do I upload the video selection component?
A: Once you submit, our team will process and review your materials. For status updates, selection announcements, and further instructions regarding evaluation stages (including the video component), please monitor our website and official social media channels periodically.
2. Meals & Dietary Requirements
Q: Are meals provided during the program?
A: Breakfast and lunch are fully included in the program package. However, please note that dinner is not included, allowing participants the flexibility to explore local culinary options on their own.
Q: Is Halal food guaranteed for Muslim participants?
A: While we cannot strictly guarantee fully certified Halal meals throughout the program due to local availability in the host countries, our committee will happily provide recommendations for safe food alternatives, such as seafood/fish options and pork-free establishments.
3. Arrival & Airport Pick-up
Q: Is there an airport pick-up service provided by the committee?
A: Yes, airport pick-up is provided on the first day of the program. The committee will be on-site to collect participants from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the designated airport.
Q: What should I do if my flight arrives outside the official pick-up window (after 4:00 PM)?
A: If you arrive after the official pick-up hours, don’t worry. The committee will guide and direct you on how to reach the hotel or venue independently through the dedicated participant group chat that will be created prior to the departure.
4. Scholarship Travel Grants & Flight Tickets
Q: How much is the flight ticket support for scholarship recipients?
A: The flight ticket grant depends on your scholarship category:
- Gold Scholarship: Up to USD 750
- Silver Scholarship: Up to USD 250
Note: If your actual flight ticket price exceeds these allocated amounts, the remaining balance/extra cost must be covered entirely by the participant.
Q: How and when will the flight ticket grant be disbursed to me?
A: The travel grant is not paid fully in advance. It will be disbursed in stages:
- The first partial payment is processed either right before or during the program.
- The final remaining balance will be disbursed after the camp, once you have successfully completed and submitted all required post-program contributions and reports.
Q: Can I extend my stay (extend) in the host country before or after the program?
A: Yes, you may extend your stay, provided that it strictly complies with your visa regulations and validity. However, please be advised that any days outside the official program dates are entirely at your own expense and responsibility. AYFN will not cover accommodation, meals, or insurance for your extended stay.
5. Payments & Country Restrictions
Q: I live in a country with strict banking/credit card restrictions (e.g., Egypt, Bangladesh, Russia) and cannot purchase the required E-book online. What should I do?
A: We understand these international payment limitations. You have two main alternatives:
- Use PayPal: We accept PayPal, which often bypasses local card restrictions. Please follow the alternative payment instructions provided on our website.
- Payment via a Friend/Relative Abroad: You may have a friend or relative make the purchase on your behalf.
Q: If my friend or relative pays for the E-book using their account, how do I verify it in my application?
A: Simply upload the transaction receipt to your application portal. In the motivation or “additional information” field of the form, explicitly state that the purchase was made by your friend/relative due to regional card restrictions, and provide their full name and the email address associated with the payment.
6. Self-Funded Tracks & Visa Procedures
Q: For self-funded packages, do I need to pay the full program fee before applying for my visa?
A: No, you do not need to pay the full amount upfront. The process is as follows:
- Register for the program on our website.
- Pay a down payment to secure and lock in your slot.
- Process and apply for your visa (using supporting documents from us if needed).
- Settle the remaining balance after your visa has been officially granted.
Q: Can we register a group or team (e.g., from an institution or country) for a self-funded track?
A: Absolutely! Group or team delegations are highly welcome. You can access the official registration page on our website. If you require bulk registration assistance or official invitation letters for visa purposes, please contact our team after completing the initial registration.
7. Program Fees & Discrepancies
Q: I noticed an extra charge on my PayPal request compared to the confirmed program fee. What is this for?
A: Any additional amount is an international transaction charge / PayPal fee that is automatically applied to international transfers.
Q: I found conflicting dates (e.g., 2025 vs 2026) or need a full breakdown of what the scholarship covers. Where can I find this?
A: Any mentions of previous years belong to our past cycles. For the most updated 2026 schedule, eligibility criteria, and a full itemized breakdown of what is included (accommodation, cultural activities, etc.) versus what you must cover yourself, please always refer directly to the official program brochure on our website.
