Type of Scholarship, Coverage, and Application Fee
We offer three types of scholarship: Gold (1 awardee), Silver (2 Awardees) and Blue (2 awardees). Each type has different benefit. Please read carefully. The application fee will be fully used to support the development of AYFN Programs, Promotions, Judges/reviewers’ honor and selection process.
Gold
AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grant up to USD 1,250.
- Flight expense support (Valued at up to USD 1,250)
- Porgram fee waiver
Silver
AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grant up to USD 500.
- Flight expense support (Valued at up to USD 500)
- Porgram fee waiver
Blue
AYFN will waive the program fee and provide travel grant up to USD 250.
- Flight expense support (Valued at up to USD 250)
- Porgram fee waiver
The scholarship will NOT cover: Visa processing fee, Additional flight expense, Personal expenses (travel insurance, internet, laundry, additional meals, and not mentioned in the scholarship coverage).
Program fee includes: Accommodation 6D5N (Double shared), Meals (4 Breakfast and 4 Lunch), All activities indicated on schedule, All tour indicated on schedule, Local transports (Train and Bus), E-Certificate of participation from AYFN, Program supervision, In-country administration costs and souvenir from AYFN.
If you are not offered a scholarship, we may offer you a Partial Program Fee Waiver (10%, 20, and 30%).

Eligibility of applicant
You are required to meet these crieterias to apply for the scholarship.
- All nationalities are welcomed to apply
- Must be between 17 – 40 years old
- Have an interest in Travel and Culture
- Involvement in social and youth activities
- Demonstrate leadership potential
- Able to communicate in English
- Able to travel to Japan during the program
- Physical and mental healthy
- Ready to document all activities
Required documents
Please prepare all required documents before submitting your application.
- Curriculum Vittae (Resume) – Europe standard.
- 250 words Motivation letter on “Why do I need this scholarship?”
- 250 words Essay on “Why I deserve this scholarship?”
- Payment proof of application fee.
- All documents must be in English version.
Additional documents
These documents will make your application stands out.
- Certificates of Acheivement (Championship, Olympiad, Business Competition, etc).
- Letter of recommendation.
- English Proficiency Certificate (Toefl ITP, IBT, IELTS or Duolingo).
- All documents must be in English version.

Step 4 | Get email confirmation that your application package is recieved by administrator of AYFN. |
Step 5 | Announcement of phase 1 (15 November 2024) Short listed candidates will be invited to conduct Interview session. |
Step 6 | Interview session : 20 – 25 November 2024 |
Step 7 | Final announcement: 30 November 2024 |
Step 8 | Departure to Japan |

- The number of scholarship is limited.
- This scholarship is supported by AYFN
- Application fee is non refundable and non transferable.
- 1 payment of application fee can only be used to apply for scholarship once ,and for one type of scholarship only (blue, silver or gold).
- The judges’ decision is final.
